Our Pledge

across greenwich, we are united in our dedication to transform lives

WHO WE ARE

We are partnering to build a borough where no one goes without food

Community Needs Foundation (CNF) is a Christian registered Charity  based in Royal Borough of Greenwich. CNF was founded in 2018 by Caroline Peters, a woman who has passion to address widespread hunger within the Black and Minority Ethnic groups (BME) community, including people with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF), vulnerable families and individuals who are less privileged to access food to meet their basic needs.

OUR APPROACH

We feed the needy through partnerships and donations

Our aim is to create access to good and healthy food in the community and hope to provide access to food for vulnerable groups around the area. We have set up an African Caribbean food bank in the Thamesmead and Abbey Wood area, which has the highest percentage of Black and Minority Ethnicity (BME), estimated to be 13% of the total population in Greenwich Borough.
We are a registered non-profit organisation that channels waste and surplus food to those in the Borough of Greenwich and especially the Thamesmead Area who really need it.
01.

— Our Mission

CNF utilises food in order to eliminate hunger among low-income needy individuals, and families in the Community.
02.

— Our Vision

Our vision is to end hunger and poverty in the Black and Minority Ethnicity in the UK. We support a nationwide network of food banks and together we provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK.
